Becoming a Merchant will provide you with a fully working, online, secure, eCommerce store presence. You will be able to showcase your goods online, manage your available stock, and take electronic payments from Visa and Debit cards from anywhere in the world without needing a Merchant bank account. Your only required tool is access to the Pacifica Market Merchants dashboard website from your PC, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. We also have a free mobile app for Merchants to manage their online store. No need for any expensive hardware or software.
You will also be able to utilise our integrated delivery system so you can provide, “pay online and pickup by customer”, “cash on pickup by customer” as well as “pay online and delivery by Pacifica Market delivery driver” services for your customers. Payment for delivery will be the responsibility of the customer and you will only need to have the goods ready for pickup by our Pacifica Market delivery service.
The Pacifica Market platform is highly secure and very safe, we partner with top tier global providers who are fully PCI-DSS standards certified. Your bank as your credit card provider demands PCI-DSS compliance to pass their stringent security requirements for use of their credit cards for online transactions. Our partners provide online financial transaction services for millions of businesses including the biggest global online companies, Uber, Google, Amazon, etc…. You and your customers will get the same security that Amazon demands for online purchases.
There is no charge to sign up but there is a small ongoing monthly subscription fee to use this service. We will provide a working template for your online presence along with 1 Hour of “one on one” assistance to get you up and running. Once your shop is running and able to receive online orders, you will get your fist month subscription for free. From the second month, there will be a subscription fee of $40 FJD per month.

Each Merchant also has the option of having their chosen domain name setup to point to their online Store. e.g. www.tevitasfishandchips.com.fj This will only cost $80 FJD per year for us to register and administer your chosen domain name for you perpetually.
We use PayPal which is an online transactional facility that enables you to receive credit card payments from your customers. PayPal is the worlds biggest payment gateway service provider. Once a customer has chosen to buy an item(s) from your shopping cart, Pacifica Market takes them through a checkout process and redirects them to PayPal to make the purchase. PayPal will contact their credit card company who will then contact their bank to confirm that they have sufficient funds in their account. The customer is then returned to your online shop.
What you need to do
As a Merchant, you will need to open a free PayPal account and a Visa Debit account with your local bank to receive payments from customers. You will then link your Debit account to your PayPal account. You will receive all payments to your PayPal account and then you simply have to logon to PayPal and download the funds to your attached Debit account. This is a requirement for the use of PayPals services in Fiji.
We estimate that your online store will be running within 2 weeks of signing up. The majority of this time will be due to preparing your products, taking pictures and uploading them to your store.
